Of course...we had a lovely Christmas. Only somehow I forgot my camera and am waiting to steal my sisters Christmas shots .. so this post will be continued.

Austin is home

This is my cute little brother Austin. He has spent the last two years in Kiribati..a part of theMarshall Islands mission. We are excited to have him home..
just in time for the holidays.

Puppy Photo Shoot

I took Sam and his new puppy to this old truck for a photo shoot. While the lighting was perfect, I could not get the boy and puppy to look at the same time. One was complaining about the cold and the other was trying to run away.

Sams early Christmas surprise

We finally gave in and decided to give Sam a puppy this year. This cute boy loves dogs and has been hoping for one for years. His mom and dad have never been big fans of dogs, but hopefully that will soon change. This is a really cute little dog and we hope she likes being a part of our family. When we told Sam we were giving him his present early this year, he was very excited. However, when we pulled up to a house instead of a store, he wasn't so excited. Zach and I went and looked at the dog first and then had to go back to the car to convince Sam. It didn't take long after he found out what his present was.

After school hike

Sam and I love to go up to the mountains after school, especialy in the fall. I love the red leaves. Sam loves to make crazy faces. Well okay I guess we weren't too far up the mountain because Sam is talking to his dad on the phone.

Sams Rocket Launch (thanks Brooke and Anthony)

Sam was very excited to try out this birthday present. We went to a nearby field and successfully launched this cool rocket twice.

I am excited and now feel ready for the snow. I think my feet will be very cozy.

After about all the fun we could take, we returned home to have pizza and Sponge Bob cupcakes and open presents.

Angry Sam

I love this child. This seems to be the reaction I get when
I want to go pretty much anywhere. I did get him to get in
the car, but this is the face I got when it was time to get out.
Soon it turned to this...........
This just breaks my heart.
I got him to settle down and come with me, but this is as
close to a smile as he would let me have.

Zach's skates

Zach recently decided to take up rollerblading. We have a really great trail for it next to the legacy highway.

Happy Halloween

Here is our scary little monster. He was so excited to go to the store and find the scariest costume. I think he did a good job. I do kind of miss the days of cute little frogs.......

Halloween Parties

Grandma took all of these little monsters to her school carnival.
Sam made scary Halloween cookies. The sprinkles were his favorite part and he wonders why Costco doesn't have giant boxes of them.

Getaway to Moab and Aspen

Zach and I were able to take a little trip over to Aspen. We stopped in Moab on the way down and did a little hiking in Arches. We could not get enough hiking, so in Aspen we did more hiking. We stayed at this awesome hotel http://www.stregisaspen.com/templates/index.php
